Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday signed into law the 2025 Appropriation Bill.
The 2025 Appropriation Bill named Budget of Recovery, showed that N433,622,000,000 was allocated to capital expenditure, representing 62.06 per cent of the total budget; while N265,037,496,000 was earmarked for recurrent expenditure, which is 47.94 per cent.
In his remarks after signing the budget, Governor Aiyedatiwa described it as the “Budget of Recovery,” emphasizing its role in rebuilding the state’s economy and addressing key socio-economic challenges.
He assured that the allocations within the budget were more than just figures, but intended investments aimed at improving the lives and well-being of every resident in Ondo State.
“This is a critical moment for our administration, one that marks a significant step towards fulfilling the promises we made to the people of Ondo State during the electioneering processes.
“We have deliberately allocated the higher percentage to capital development in order to jumpstart the economy and initiate massive infrastructural renewal across the State. The main objective of this budget is to make life easy for our people. This objective is sacrosanct and non-negotiable.
“The budget reflects our collective vision for the future of Ondo State and demonstrates that when we work together, we can achieve great things for our people,” he added.
