‘The management of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State, has denied recruiting saying the institutions has nothing to do with a fraudulent recruitment advertisement currently in circulation.
The fake recruitment advert falsely advertised the positions of lecturers.
But in a statement by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, on Thursday, the university described the advertisement as deceptive and urged the public to disregard it to avoid falling victim to scammers.
“We are aware of an advertisement that falsely claims to offer recruitment opportunities for lecturer positions at our institution.
“To set the record straight, this advertisement does not originate from Ajayi Crowther University. It is a scam designed to exploit individuals by promoting non-existent job offers that do not conform to our official recruitment procedures.“
The Vice-Chancellor said the university is committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency and integrity in its recruitment processes.
He reassured all that the university’s hiring for academic and non-academic positions follows a clearly defined and transparent procedure.
Adebayo urged prospective applicants to exercise caution and verify any recruitment information they encounter to avoid being deceived by fraudulent schemes.
