Social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse also known as VeryDarkMan will on Monday appear before a House of Representatives Committee investigating the allegations of corruption and illicit dealings against officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ,EFCC, and Nigeria Correctional Service ,NCoS, involving an ex-convict celebrity crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, otherwise known as Bobrisky.
Recall that VeryDarkMan had on Tuesday published an audio recording on his Instagram page. In the recording, the crossdresser revealed how he bribed unnamed EFCC officials with N15m to drop money laundering charges against him and how he also bribed a prison official who facilitated his stay in a private apartment in Lagos throughout his six-month jail term following his conviction over Naira notes abuse offences.
Bobrisky has since reacted to the viral voice recording in an Instagram post on Wednesday, describing it as fake and handiwork of his ‘haters’.
Recall that the Federal Government through the Ministry of Interior has launched an ‘unconditional and comprehensive’ investigation into the allegations against Prison officials at the Kirikiri Custodial Centre in Lagos, including the suspension of two top officials of NCoS.
However, in a text message sent to LEADERSHIP on Sunday afternoon, VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Barr. Deji Adeyanju, said his client will appear before the National Assembly Investigative Panel to assist it in unravelling the Bobrisky scandal involving the EFCC and NCoS officials
“We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow (Monday) with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigation into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment.”
Barring last-minute change of plan, he added that the VeryDarkMan will appear before the lawmakers by 2pm.
