Customers of Access bank Plc have been left stranded following a network problem that has lasted for several hours on Friday.
Daily Intel Newspaper gathered that the bank’s operations nationwide were brought to a halt due to the network failure.
When this Newspaper visited Wuse II and Gwarinpa branch of the bank located in Nigeria’s Capital, it was observed that Customers were not attended to.
A staff of the bank who spoke under anonymity because she is not authorised to speak for the bank said the network failure is being experience in the bank’s branches nationwide, adding that she is not certain when it will be restored “ there is no network in the last three hours. The network failure affected all our branches nationwide” the staff said.
The bank’s customer whose name was simply given as Vera lamented her inability to meet an urgent need due to her inability to access her money in the bank.
Vera said that she came into the bank three hours ago and was told that the network is down ” this is exactly three hours that I have been In the banking hall, initially I thought that it something that could be resolved in few minutes but as you can see, everyone is stranded here”
As at the time of filing this report, the bank’s authorities could not be reached for comment.
