Senator Monday Okpbhelo has been sworn-in as the governor of Edo State.
However, Daily Intel gathered that the outgoing Governor, Godwin Obaseki was absent during the swear-in.
Okpebholo, the 6th elected governor of the South South State and candidate for All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated Barr. Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, and that of the Labour Party Barr. Olumide Akpata, in the September 21 governorship election to emerge governor.
Hon. Denise Idahosa was also sworn-in as the Deputy Governor of the state.
The duo were sworn-in by the Chief Judge of the state, Justice, Daniel Okongbowa.
