The United Arab Emirates ,UAE, has lifted the visa ban imposed on Nigerians.
The development followed an agreement reached between Nigerian government and the UAE to lift the ban.
Daily Intel Newspaper gathered that the agreement takes immediate effect, allowing Nigerian passport holders to travel to the UAE.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made the announcement at the Presidential Villa, disclosing that an agreement has been reached between the governments of Nigeria and the UAE.
The UAE had in 2022 imposed a visa restriction on Nigerian citizens
The ban at the time resulted in Emirates Airlines suspending flight operations to Nigeria in November 2022.
