In line with the directives of the Cross River State governor, Senator Bassey Otu, the State Electrification Agency on Monday commenced the rehabilitation and electrification of Bekwarra Local Government Area.
Recall that in September, the governor approved the immediate electrification of Bekwarra.
Following the governor’s directive, SEA Director-General, Mr. Francis Ekpo, on Monday swung into action with the mobilisation of engineers to site.
According to Ekpo, the support of the various communities in Bekwarra Local Government Area was crucial, noting that the engineers are committed to delivering the directives of the governor and the mandate of the SEA, to provide electricity to every community in Cross River State.
“Now that the Cross River State Electrification Agency has started work in communities in Bekwarra council, as directed by the governor, we solicit your support.”
He advised the indigenes on the need to support and protect the amenities provided by the government in various parts of the state.
