National Council for Women Societies, NCW, on Thursday celebrated the appointment of its 1st vice national president, Mrs Geraldine Ita Etuk, as a member of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State.
The celebration took place at the NCWS headquarters in Abuja, with officials of the council and other notable dignitaries present.
Friends, family members, relations, well-wishers and NCWS members, including the Senate president’s aides and stakeholders from Akwa Ibom State who gathered to to share encomium on the NCWS boss, described her as a focused leader who has made a mark in the upliftment of women and the citizens in general.
Speaking at the event, the Special Assistant on Media to the Senate president, Mr. Jackson Udom referred Mrs Etuk as an amiable, caring and trustworthy personality to work with, “hence we are here to congratulate and wish her the best on her appointment.
Also speaking, the 2nd national vice president of NCWS, Hajiya Binta Ibrahim expressed delight over Mrs Etuk’s emergence as acting national president of the council as well as her appointment into the governing boars of the Federal College of Education, Obudu.
“I’m happy for her. It is her strength and integrity that put her where she is today. “She is a team leader. We wish her success on her tenure,” .
“The little time we have stayed here has brought togetherness to the council.
