Former deputy governor of Delta state, Professor Amos Utuama has died.
Utuama who passed on at the age of 77, hails from Ughievwen in Ughelli South local government area of Delta state.
Political associates of the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria who confirmed his death to journalists in Warri, Delta State said he died in the early hours of Saturday in Lagos after protracted illness.
Utuama served as deputy governor to former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan between 2007 and 2015 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He was also the commissioner for justice and attorney general of Delta state under the administration of former governor James Ibori.
