God is Good Motors ,GIGM, has confirmed the abduction unspecified number of passengers who were travelling from Utako bus terminal in Abuja to Port Harcourt in Rivers State on Friday.
Although, the company did not state the location where the incident took place.
But a statement by management of the company on Saturday said the kidnaping incident occurred en route Utako to Port Harcourt
“We write with deep concern and compassion to the families, loved ones of our guests, and the general public regarding the unfortunate kidnapping incident involving our bus en route from Utako to Port Harcourt on October 11.
“We want to clarify that our captain, along with a woman whose baby was crying continuously at the scene, was released by the kidnappers.
“Upon release, he immediately reported the incident to the anti-kidnapping unit in Port Harcourt at around 11:30 p.m. yesterday, accompanied by the same woman.
The company further stated the it “reported the incident to the anti-kidnapping unit in Port Harcourt at around 11:30 p.m.”
The company noted that the driver “has since remained with the police, fully cooperating with their investigation.”
The company said it was working with law enforcement units and remained committed to “ensuring every passenger returns home where they belong.”
