Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved the recruitment of a technical team for the Benue State Digital Infrastructure Services Management Enforcement Agency (BENDISMEA).
Mr Alia, in a statement by his chief press secretary (CPS), Tersoo Kula, said that with the approval, 253 job openings were now readily available for youths, marking a significant step towards digital advancement in Nigeria.
Mr Kula said the initiative aimed to transform the state’s technological landscape and foster a more digitally inclusive environment.
The CPS added that the recruitment would provide job opportunities for Benue youths, stimulate local economies, enhance digital literacy, and improve access to technology in Nigeria.
“Key benefits of the recruitment include job creation, boosting digital infrastructure, skills development, economic growth, and youth empowerment.
“The governor directed the immediate release of salaries for the new positions, ensuring that the recruitment process is not only swift but also supportive of the new staff from day one.
“This recruitment is a pivotal moment for Benue as it embarks on a journey to become a digital leader in Nigeria,” he said.
He urged all eligible candidates to apply and join in this Benue transformation project.
