Contrary to the rumoured reduction in price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited ( NNPCL) said the report are false and that it should be disregarded by Nigerians
The NNPCL said in a statement by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye on Wednesday, that it is committed to the current sufficiency in supplies across the country.
The statement read “The NNPC Limited wishes to clarify rumours suggesting a price adjustment for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) at its retail stations nationwide.
“The company asserts that these reports are false and urges Nigerians to disregard them entirely.
“NNPC Ltd. reaffirms its commitment to sustaining the current sufficiency in petroleum products supply across all its retail stations in the country.“
The administration of President Tinubu have been battling to curb inflation and high cost of living triggered by the removal of fuel subsidy.
