The National Industrial Court of Nigeria has declared Monday 29 July to Tuesday 24 September 2024 as annual vacation.
The Hon. President of NIC, Justice Benedict Kanyip,in a notice, made the declaration in pursuant to Order 58 Rule 4(1) (c) of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Civil Procedure) Rules 2017.
Justice Kanyip disclosed that there will be no court sitting during the period of the vacation, pointing out that court sitting shall resume Wednesday 25 September 2024.
The notice reads in part : “In exercise of the powers conferred on me under Order 58 Rule 4 (1) (c) of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2017, and all other powers enabling me in that respect, I. Hon. Justice B. B. Kanyip, PhD, OFR, FNIALS, FCTI, FCIArb, President, National Industrial Court of Nigeria, hereby declare that the court shall proceed on 2024 Annual Vacation beginning from Monday 29 July 2024 to Tuesday 24 September 2024.”
