The Nigeria’s Debt Management Office has announced a new date for the June 2024 federal government Bond Auction earlier scheduled for Monday, 17, 2024.
The DMO in a notice on its x handle on Monday, stated that change in date was as a result of the public holidays declared by the FG, to mark the Eid Al-Adha.
According to the DMO, the holidays clashed with the date set for the auction, hence, the new date.
The DMO said the new date for the auction has been fixed for Monday June 24, 2024 and that the settlement will now hold on Wednesday June 26, 2024.
The notice reads: ” The DMO wish to advise the general public that due to the Federal Government of Nigeria’s declaration of Monday June 27 2024, as public holidays to mark the Eid Al-Adha, the June 2024 FGN Bond Auction which was scheduled to hold on Monday June 17, 2024 will be conducted on June Monday 2024, and settlement on Wednesday June 26, 2024″
