The Chairman of Toto Local Government Council in Nasarawa State, Ahmed Yahaya, has signed into law the N5 billion 2025 Budget of the council.
Yahaya, while signing the “Budget of Redemption” into law on Tuesday in Toto, appreciated the legislative arm of the council for speedy passage of the appropriation bill.
Mr Yahaya said that speedy passage of the bill indicated a good synergy between the executive and the legislative arm of the council.
“With the passage of the bill into law, it will fast track execution of people’s oriented projects. By God’s grace, I will deliver the much needed dividends of democracy to our people at the grassroots,” he said.
He urged the citizens of the area to continue to be loyal and supportive to his administration and that of Governor Abdullahi Sule in their bid to further deliver on people-oriented projects.
Mr Yahaya also urged them to embrace peace and shun any act capable of causing disunity among them.
He tasked them to channel any grievance to the appropriate authorities for amicable resolutions in the interest of peace and unity in the area.
The chairman lauded the state government for its commitment to development across the state, and assured his council support in that direction.
