The pan Igbo socio-cultural and political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has expressed joy with the people Igbanke, a community in Edo State, for embracing their Igbo heritage, saying by boldly identifying with their ancestry in the face of historical misconception, they have demonstrated resilience and unwavering commitment to reunite with their brothers and sisters.
In a statement personally signed by the President General of the Igbo apex organization, Sen John Azuta-Mbata, Ohanaeze hailed the Akiko Uwa Social Cultural Group over the successful conclusion of the Igbanke Unity Festival held under the theme “Igbanke Nor be Bini”.
He praised the Igbanke community for the bold declaration of their identity and commitment to celebrating their authentic Igbo heritage.
