The House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee constituted to make laws for the Rivers State emergency rule has fix another date for the appearance of the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.).
The committee had in a statement summoned Vice admiral Ibas to appear before it on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 4:00pm, to shed light on issues regarding governance in the state.
However, the Administrator failed to honour the summon, hence, it was rescheduled for another date.
The postponement followed a formal request by Vice Admiral Ibas to shift the meeting to a later date.
In a statement issued by House Spokesperson, Hon. Akin Rotimi, the committee acknowledged the request and is currently working to coordinate a new date for the session.
“In the spirit of transparent and effective oversight, the committee will promptly inform the public once the rescheduled date is confirmed,” the statement said
