Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has lost his son, Mohammed Idris.
Idris, a former member representing Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, died on Wednesday after participating in the Eid prayers.
He was age 55.

Ododo said the late Idris was an elder brother in whom he had found a worthy compatriot, noting that their last meeting was in March 2024 when he came in company of stakeholders from Omala Local Government Area on a solidarity visit during which they had useful discussions on developing the state.
The Governor urged the family of Alhaji Idris to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a life filled with worthy accomplishments as a politician and a businessman.
Governor Ododo prayed Allah to grant the former lawmaker eternal rest and for his family to find the fortitude to bear the loss.
