The much awaited debate on the tax reform bills sent to the National Assembly by President Bola Tinubu is underway at the House of Representatives.
Daily Intel gathered that lawmakers are currently deliberating on the bills which was initially suspended.
Presenting the motion for second reading on Wednesday, the leader of the House, Julius Ihonvbere, said the resumption of the debate became necessary in view of its importance and for the survival of the nation.
Meanwhile, the bills have since passed second reading in the Senate and referred to the Committee on Finance.
