The Niger Delta Power Holding Company has assured of speedy completion of the Egbema power plant, noting that it would ramp up energy capacity to deliver reliable and affordable electricity to average Nigerian.
The Managing Director of the company Jennifer Adighije disclosed that the power plant located in Ohaji-Egbama local government area of Imo State has three turbines with a total capacity of about 375 megawatts.
Adighije who was at the plant to inspect progress of work said the project when completed would significantly contribute to great capacity to align with President Tinubu’s vision to scale energy production.
The Managing Director urged the company handling the project to expedite action to deliver at record time.
She expressed readiness to partner with State governments to ensure that affordable electricity is achieved for Nigerians.
